OVERVIEW
RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
The National Survey of Children's Health collects data on multiple aspects of children's lives that can impact their health - including physical and mental health, access to health care, home environment, participation in school programs, and neighborhood safety. Data is available from 2016-2020 for the nation and US states. An older, exclusively telephone-based version of the survey was conducted during 2003, 2007, and 2011/2012 as well. On the topic of childcare, the 2016-2020 survey asked parents if had to switch jobs that year due to problems with childcare and if their child received child care from others for >10 hours/week that year.
