OVERVIEW
RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Market-at-a-Glance reports contain interactive charts and data tables that describe economic conditions, population and household characteristics, and housing market conditions for a specific area of the US. Users can generate reports immediately for any region, state, county, metropolitan statistical area, or metro division. Reports are based on US Census and American Community Survey (ACS) data, and therefore may best represent conditions at the time they were collected, which may be months to years in the past. Information available includes the 3-month year-over-year rate of change of labor force, resident employment, unemployment rate; the monthly rate of change of covered employment; population and household counts from the Decennial Census and ACS; yearly net natural change, net migration, and population change; yearly housing vacancy rates (sales vs. rental); annual building activity (single- vs. multi-family); and yearly housing inventory (vacant vs. occupied) by tenure.
