OVERVIEW

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION

This dataset published by the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) program allows bulk and industry-segment-specific work/home population flows for the District, counties, and other areas to be measured and mapped with data as recent as 2017. Flows can be viewed for all jobs or parsed by these industry segments: Goods Producing; Trade, Transportation, and Utilities; and All Other Services. The number of workers whose jobs are in the selected area are provided along with their home county or other geography (options include Census Tracts and others). Restricted-use microdata are available if necessary. The OnTheMap tool can be accessed here: https://onthemap.ces.census.gov/
