Healthcare Ready

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION

Healthcare Ready provides online, publicly available maps of the locations and statuses of participating pharmacies in the continental US. It is used by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response (ASPR) during an event to determine which communities may need additional support for prescription medication needs based on pharmacy closures. The Open Pharmacies Map shows the status of individual pharmacies. Information provided includes the pharmacy name, address, phone number, and whether its status is open, unknown, or disrupted. Users can search the map by address to view a table of pharmacies in the area. The locations of open American Red Cross shelters are also included. The County Overview map shows the general status of a region's pharmacies in terms of the percentage that are currently open. Information provided includes whether each county has 90% pharmacies open (green), 80% - 90% pharmacies open (yellow), or less than 80% pharmacies open (red). For each county, the total numbers of open, unknown status, or disrupted pharmacies are also reported.
