OVERVIEW

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION

Global.health is a platform to rapidly share case data on infectious diseases. As of December 2021, there was over 60 million COVID-19 cases from 100 countries on the site, which can be viewed in a database or on a map (COVID-19 is the only infectious disease captured on the site). The meta data for each case are: confirmed date, location, nationality, age, gender, outcome, hospitalization period, symptom onset date, and source URL. The platform was created by researchers from leading institutions around the world including Oxford, Harvard, Northeastern, Boston Children’s Hospital, Georgetown, University of Washington, and Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
