RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
The Selected Metropolitan Area Risk Trends (SMART) project uses the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) to analyze the data of selected metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) with 500 or more respondents. The BRFSS asks respondents about alcohol use, general overall health, health care access, chronic health conditions, kidney disease, COPD, depression, cancer, skin cancer, cholesterol, blood pressure, access to health care, vaccinations, HIV, and disability status.
