OVERVIEW
RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS) is the primary online portal to access all National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) river flood forecast products. Products include the NWS River Forecasts, which are provided in short-range and experimental long-range versions, and NWS Inundation Maps. Real-time data from US Geological Survey (USGS) river gauges is also included where available. River forecasts show real-time and predicted stream gauge heights and flow rates, while inundation maps show the expected extent of flooding at a limited number of supported locations.
